Congratulations to the Visions Blu "One Block, One Voice" Program Participants

Visions Blu's "One Block, One Voice" summer program 2012 ends with a project presentation worthy of a fireworks celebration. Congratulations to all of our student participants as well as instructors for a job well done!

Students learned story structure, story-telling, the influence of media, news literacy, videography, lighting, video editing and presentation skills during this intense "One Block, One Voice" summer program. The class and instructors collaborated toward choosing this year's theme, focusing on the positive attributes toward youth in their respective communities.

Hard work, creative brainstorming and commitment to the project resulted in an incredible project for students who had never produced media content. We will announce a Chicago screening of this summer's project soon.

We are so proud of our youth! Congrats again!
