Visions Blu Institute presents our 2023 FUNdraiser with a private screening of our newest film “The Nell” along with a live comedy show. Join us, Saturday, January 28th 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Music Box Theater, located at 3733 N. Southport. Purchase your $35 ticket(s) before they sell out on our website, www.visionsblu\events.com. Limited seating is available.
“The Nell” is a light hearted coming of age story, about competitive high school aged athletes and the bonds they form on the block. It’s based in the early 80’s, before the influence of the internet, social media and cell phones on our youth and their communities. Plus, Chicago area comedians will provide entertainment for your soul.
We could all use a break. Come out and have some fun and bring friends to the Visions Blu FUNdraiser.
Let’s “Talk Therapy” with “Tell Someone”.
“Tell Someone” is a short film that exposes how trauma can re-surface during adulthood. A woman’s trauma revisits her in memory flashes. As a result, she must make decisions to change the trajectory of her life. This film seeks to remove the stigma around talking about trauma with professional therapists.
“Tell Someone” was written, directed and produced by Visions Blu Institute’s Executive Director. Visions Blu Institute is a 501C3 media and arts organization. We would like the opportunity to share this film with women, men, girls and boys in order to spark what could be life changing conversations.
Contact us to schedule a virtual or in-person showings, along with a question and answer session. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 312.880.9315
This film encourages trauma survivors to use their voice, heal and decide to thrive.
