Our award-winning silent film, “Imminent Checkmate ~ Amidst Disruption, Find Camaraderie,” is a 2024 Silver Telly Award winner that spotlights Black males of various ages, celebrating themes of unity and resilience.
We’re excited to share the behind-the-scenes (BTS) compilation of this acclaimed short film, captured and edited by Jewel B., a former participant in our youth programs and a recent Columbia College graduate. “Imminent Checkmate” was written, directed, and produced by Karon Hamlet, with contributions from an exceptional team: Producer Monoleto Wilborn, Cinematographer Patrick Charles, and Editor Joshua Zarbaugh. |
